In this paper the relathionship and musical influence of Chopin and Scriabin are discussed. Based on Chopins prelude op. 28 no. 6 and Scriabins prelude op. 11 no. 4 there are clear distinct similarities between these two composers. Scriabin used to some extend the musical ideas of Chopin and developed them further.

I wrote this paper during my studies at University Koblenz in a seminar about musicology. Both, Chopin and Scriabin, are one of my most favourite composers for piano, maybe because they have a quite similar approach to music, as discussed in the paper.
